Hans graduated from Pratt Institute, NY, USA and has been active as an Architect for more than 40 years. In South Africa he built up a respected and much sought-after practice and received numerous citations in the workplace as well as from the Institute of South African Architects.
Hans has always seen his architecture as a symbiosis between human intellect on the one hand and our planet's landscape and environment on the other. Function is the keystone of his designs, influenced and molded by the requirements of the client and the form of the landscape into which his designs will be placed.
Different countries have individual and unique architectural characteristics. These are never copied but are integrated into the concept of his design - their form is like a silent melody - waiting to be heard.

Jurgen has over 23 years of experience in Interior Design, project management, documentation, procurement and landscaping. He has worked on projects all over the world, big and small, and pays meticulous attention to the finest detail.
He blends into his interiors a mélange of classical and contemporary elements, creating a timeless appeal: a balance of colours, texture and “architecture”, with contrasts and well lit focal points. He has also designed a range of custom-made furniture & lighting. Projects undertaken range from commercial, leisure and retail schemes, to domestic turn-key fit-outs.
Whilst he has been working independently for the past 23 years, he and his father Hans, formed the A2Architecture + Design collaboration early in 2011.
